Obituary of Barbara A. Ashby

Barbara A. Ashby, 67, of Marcellus, passed peacefully March 18, 2016 at Francis House after a battle with cancer. Barbara was born and raised in Syracuse. Her and her husband John resided in the Eastwood section of Syracuse for four years before moving to Marcellus in 1976. Barbara enjoyed traveling and gardening. She loved her family and friends. Barbara leaves her husband of 44 years John Ashby of Marcellus; her son Josh (Elisabeth) Ashby of Richmond, VA; a brother Fred Jennis of Syracuse; her Aunt Frances Jarmolowicz of Syracuse and several cousins. Calling hours will be from 4 to 7pm Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main Street, Marcellus. Service and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave., Syracuse, NY 13208.
