Obituary of Nancy Ann (McLaughlin) Medicis

Nancy Ann (McLaughlin) Medicis, 88, of Syracuse, NY, passed away May 12, 2021. She was born in Syracuse on January 25, 1933 to Edward J. and Lucille (Crowley) McLaughlin.

Nancy graduated from Most Holy Rosary School and was graduated from the Convent School. She was a graduate of Marywood College in 1954 and obtained a Master's in Education at Syracuse University. Nancy taught Home Economics in Nassau County and then at North Syracuse High School. She was predeceased by her brother Dr. Edward J. McLaughlin, Captain, USN and sister-in-law Lorraine McLaughlin.

Surviving are her beloved husband of 56 years Judge Joseph G. Medicis, Jr.; son Daniel P. (Susan) Medicis of Westvale; grandsons Joseph L. Medicis and Thomas Bland, both of Westvale; nephews Michael McLaughlin of Highlandville, MO and Edward J. McLaughlin of Cazenovia; niece Meghan (Chris) Riley and grandnieces Stella and Claire Riley all of Chicago, IL.

Nancy and Joe were in the first group of Eucharistic Ministers at St. Ann's Church, Onondaga Blvd., Syracuse and also at Van Duyn Nursing Home.

A calling hour will be Monday, May 17th from 9:45 to 10:45am and a Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 11am, both held in St. Ann's Church, 4471 Onondaga Blvd., Syracuse. Entombment will be private.
