Obituary of Helen A. Fenlon
A Memorial Mass for Helen A. Fenlon, 97, of Marcellus, NY who passed away November 30, 2020 will be 11am Saturday, August 28, 2021 in St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus.
Helen was born in Navarino to the late Florence and Jesse Annable. She was a life-long resident of Marcellus. Helen graduated from Marcellus Central School in 1940 and Central City Business Institute. She worked at Carrier Corporation for 15 years as an executive secretary. After taking time off to have her children, she worked at Marcellus Central School for 17 years and retired in 1986.
Helen enjoyed baking, knitting (if you are lucky enough to have a pair of her mittens - hold on to them), reading, going to yard sales and supporting her children and grandchildren’s endeavors. For a time, Helen enjoyed creating handmade greeting cards with her sister, Pauline. She was one of the longest members in the Senior Exercise Class at Marcellus Free Library. Helen was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward in 1981 and sister, Pauline Reynolds in 2014.
Helen is survived by her children Michael (Amanda) and Nancy; two grandsons Jesse and Nathan Fenlon; many nephews and a niece.
Burial was private.
In lieu of flowers, Helen requested donations be made to the Marcellus Ambulance Volunteer Emergency Services (MAVES), P.O. Box 203, Marcellus, NY 13108.
