Obituary of Jean B. Corcoran
Jean B. Corcoran, 93, of Marietta, passed away peacefully February 3, 2020 at Upstate Community Hospital with family by her side.
Jean was born in 1926 to the late Fred and Vivian Bishop of Syracuse. She graduated from Central Tech and shortly after WWII married her beloved husband of 68 years, Edward J. Corcoran.
Jean and Ed enjoyed traveling, cross country skiing and entertaining family and friends at their home "Journey's End" on Otisco Lake. In her later years, Jean's love of books led to her joyful time volunteering at the Marcellus Free Library.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward; daughter Patricia Toomey; son Peter and her brother Fred Bishop.
Surviving are children Tom (Kathy) of Missouri, Janet (David) French of Marietta, Judith (Patrick) Campbell of Marcellus, Stephen of Texas, Marcia of Elbridge, Philip (Mary) of Syracuse and Amy of Skaneateles; her sister Helen McLaughlin of Florida; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be Monday, February 10th from 9am to 10:45am, followed by the Funeral Mass at 11am, both held in St. Patrick's Church, Route 80, Otisco, NY. Burial will then be at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Marcellus.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick's Church, P.O. Box 169, Lafayette, NY 13084.
