Obituary of Gwenn I. Rice
Gwenn I. Rice, 89, of Marcellus passed away peacefully February 7, 2018. Gwenn was born in Long Beach, California and was a Korean Navy Veteran. She moved to Marcellus in 1956. Gwenn worked for St. Joseph's Hospital, for Nationwide Insurance and then Yuhas Real Estate. She was a member of the Marcellus First Presbyterian Church for over 60 years. Gwenn was a member of the Marcellus Art Guild and was an accomplished bridge player.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years Erwin; her daughter June (Bruce) Bigler; sons David (Judi) Rice and James (Claire) Rice and five grandchildren Amanda and Benjamin Bigler, Katie Onderdonk, Jacqueline and Jonathan Rice.
A memorial funeral service will be 1:00pm Tuesday February 13, 2018 in the Marcellus First Presbyterian Church, 1 East Main Street, Marcellus. The family will greet friends after the service. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Marcellus First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 147, Marcellus, NY 13108.
