Obituary of Richard "Oskie" Allen
Richard "Oskie" Allen, 82, of Jamesville passed away November 24, 2017 with family by his side. Born in LaFayette to the late Ruth and Grover Allen, Richard worked many years for Allied Chemical (Jamesville Quarry), retiring in 1986. He enjoyed helping others, quality time with family & friends, trips to Florida and Wednesday night visits.
Richard was predeceased by his wife of 51 years Jolane, his son Kenneth "K.C." and was the last of ten children.
Surviving are his children Debra (Gary) DePalma, Ernest (Lisa) and Steven; seven grandchildren Brandon, Thomas and Gary Jr. DePalma; Lyle, Hillary and Chelsea Allen; and Kelly Hedrick; three great-grandchildren Emma, Lucas and Amelia; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours, followed by a memorial funeral service, will be from 3 to 5pm Saturday, December 2, 2017 both held at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main Street, Marcellus. Burial will be at a later date.
