Obituary of Mary Kristin Oakes
Mary Kristin "Kris" Oakes (Reynolds), 64 of Queensbury, NY and formerly of Marcellus, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2017. She fought a courageous battle with ovarian cancer and renal disease. Kris was predeceased by her parents Robert Edward and Mary Pauline Reynolds of Marcellus and her sister Pamela Ann Reynolds of Terlingua, TX. She was born in Syracuse at St. Joseph's Hospital and lived and worked doing what she loved on a horse farm as a Barn Manager at Pine Bourne North in Ft. Edwards, NY most of her life.
Surviving are her son, Benjamin Robert Oakes of Queensbury, NY; two brothers and their wives David and Catherine Reynolds of Scottsdale, AZ, Peter and Cassandra Reynolds of Baldwinsville, NY; her Aunt Helen Fenlon of Marcellus; two nephews Oliver Reynolds- Defoe of Canyon City, CO and Matthew Reynolds of Baldwinsville, NY; cousins Nancy Fenlon of Alpharetta, GA, Michael and Amanda Fenlon of Baldwinsville, NY; great cousins Jesse and Nathan Fenlon, and other cousins and friends.
Calling hours are Thursday, October 19, 2017 from 4-6 PM at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main Street, Marcellus. A Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 9 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, Marcellus. Burial will follow at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
