Obituary of Jeffrey D. Bishop

Jeffrey D. Bishop, 58, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on January 12, 2017, after a short illness. Jeff was born to Alfred and Noreen (Usherwood) Bishop on June 5, 1958. He devoted his life to and is survived by his daughter, Megan Mae. He is also survived by brothers Tom (Dolores), Scott (Bev Zorn) and Fred (Christine), sister Luanne Langille (Scott), as well as several nieces and nephews. Jeff was a Civil Engineer for the Onondaga County DOT until his 2016 retirement. Jeff was a devout Christian and was proud of his Scottish heritage. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing. An avid gardener, Jeff won many State Fair ribbons. Calling hours are 3 to 7 pm Tuesday, January 24, with funeral service to follow, at Ryan Funeral Home, 44 E. Main St., Marcellus. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Loretto Foundation, designated for Cunningham 9th Floor, 1301 Nottingham Rd., Jamesville, NY, 13078.
